Its easy to get into the school and the school allowed to get in with a low SAT score. The only downside about going to the school is that they only guarantee housing for the first year.

Getting in here is politicalJan 31 2007Pharmacy
Getting in here is political. There are sooo many applicants that just grades alone will not do it. Years of pharmacy experience, previous degrees are very helpful. And during your interview never, and I mean NEVER, mention any problems you may have had with a previous instructor, they won't want you here.

My GPA helped me to get in and my GPA has also forced me to write the above comment.
Take a world of advice from me and try not to get into this school and apply some place else, if you can and use this school as last resort and bear in mind that you will not feel anything until you will get to second year of pharmacy school. Just make your selection carefully.

Most pharmacy schools have application deadlines of late winterMay 21 2005Pharmacy
Most pharmacy schools have application deadlines of late winter. Several students applied to MCP-Worcester in June and were admitted. Qualifying for a student loan seems to be the main criteria for admission. I was turned down in my home state and heard I could get in here.
If you go to school here, only the exceptional student will be able to complete the 1000 hours of pharmacy internship that the Mass Board of Pharmacy requires. The MA board only accepts about 500 of school generated hours, so consequently you will have to work at a pharmacy/hospital to get the other 1000 hours. Unfortunately many of our homestates will only accept the hours the MA board certifies, thus we will have to work for minimal pay for four or five months after graduation to complete the thousand hours. So consider the 2 years 10 months mantra for you Pharm D, another half truth.

The school will allow you to transfer 12 hours of advanced course work. It has to be from a 4 year university. So if you decide to come here get 6 hours of biochemisty, or 6 hrs of physiology or 4 hours of immunology off your plate.
